Otter House Rules
Clients must be awake no later than 9:00am Monday through Friday, (11:00am Saturday and Sunday)
Clients must complete chores upon awakening. (must take work/school schedule into consideration to allow enough time to complete chores before leaving.)
Clients must attend a minimum of 4 meetings a week.
Clients must attend at least one Men’s meeting a week.
No Females on property unless a manager is present.
Curfew is strictly enforced (Sunday-Thursday 12:00 midnight, (Friday-Saturday 1:00am)** these are for clients who are following all rules and working fully on their sobriety
No females in bedrooms, this includes House Managers.
Zero tolerance for having sex on the premises.
All over night requests are to be submitted a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Overnight forms are to be promptly sent to Nick McGrory for review.
Managers are subject to random drug screening
Clients are to be drug/alcohol tested at least 3 times a week.
In the event of relapse, Manager is to isolate client immediately and contact Nick McGrory for further instruction.
Clients must maintain a relationship with their Sponsor and work their program and steps.
Clients must attend once a week in-house Group meeting with our licensed therapist.
Zero tolerance for any substance abuse.
Clients must show respect for each other and the House Manager at all times.
Clients must maintain a good level of hygiene.
Clients are responsible for washing their own clothes, towels, and bedding. (Bedding must be washed once a week)
If Clients do not complete their chores or adhere to all rules as per their contracts, they will immediately lose privileges including reduction of curfew hours. They may also receive extra chore work, etc..
Lying, stealing, bullying, fighting and any other violations of Client contracts will be dealt with penalties or discharge from Otter House Recovery.
Clients must be working, going to school or volunteering when they are capable of handling these responsibilities.
If Client brings a pet to Otter House, they are responsible for the care of their pet at all times. This is outlined in the Client contracts.
Managers reserve the right to limit or suspend exposure to friends, family members and girlfriends/boyfriends if they are found to be a negative influence on the Client or are limiting their success in recovery.
Clients are expected to support and respect each other.
